    Abstract

Future Internet developments, particularly a phenomenon labeled as "Internet of Things" and "Web Squared", have been predicted to change lives globally. The nature of that change will eventually depend on who participates in "shaping and making" of the future Internet, who has most influence on its evolution and what are their interests. This article discusses 'openness' of the third generation Internet and its relationship with globally inclusive development. This is proposed as a topic of my Phd work. After introducing the topic area, I articulate the research questions, briefly explain the motivation of the research and suggest a methodological approach.
