Abstract

There are many factors affecting the Time-To-Market (TTM) of a software project. A panel of experienced Finnish software professionals has produced an Excel-based questionnaire to gauge TTM-readiness of a software project. This paper studies not only the questionnaire but also the process of its construction, i.e. the means to capture expert knowledge in an intercompany cooperation network. The work has been based on the work done in the Esprit/PROFES project on Product-Process Dependencies. The emerging ISO 15504 standard was used as the framework for the questionnaire.
