Abstract
As a result of the potential exploitation of natural
resources, requiring safer navigation along the shipping
routes of the Northern Seas, the importance of the
interoperability of data provided by the national
meteorological and research institutes is rising
significantly. Furthermore, the need for efficient
monitoring of the ongoing climate change crates new
requirements for the accessibility of this kind of data
by researchers.
