Abstract
Ohjelmistokomponentteja osataan jo hyödyntää
teollisuudessa. Toistaiseksi se tosin tapahtuu
kehittämällä niitä itse omaan käyttöön ja vain harvoin
ostamalla valmiina komponenttitoimittajilta. Yhtenä syynä
kaupallisten ohjelmistokomponenttien vähyydelle on
alihankintaan perustuva liiketoimintatapa. Yrityksillä on
kuitenkin intoa komponenttiliiketoiminnan kehittämiseen
myös ohjelmistoalueella.
