Abstract

In this chapter, platforms and technologies for load balancing in software defined mobile networks are discussed. Starting from the load balancing technologies in legacy wireless networks, the main challenges existing in current load balancing technologies are elaborated. The need of novel load balancing technologies is presented followed by the proposed approaches and available platforms for load balancing in software defined mobile networks. The chapter is concluded with future directions and research challenges in load balancing technologies.
