Abstract
Moveable factories are a leapfrog technology. As mobile telephony and finance leapfrog over fixed infrastructure in telecommunications and banking, so mobile factories leapfrog over fixed industrial infrastructure for physical production and skills training. In doing so, moveable factories can contribute to improving the ecological and social sustainability of production.
