    Abstract

The concept of a via resonator is first time introduced. The advantages of the implementation of the via resonator compared to planar one are discussed. Then the different types of an interdigital filter that could be realized as via resonator filter (VRF) are considered. The perspectives to manufacture VRF with low temperature co-fired ceramics (LTCC) technology are discussed. Experimental results are presented for several 5-pole VRF to prove the feasibility of the concept considered.
