    Abstract

    The key message of the book is that innovation management is essentially business development. The book provides a balanced overview of the broad field of innovation and business management. The topic is approached from three major viewpoints: 1) Strategies and business models; steering and funding mechanisms; and networking, capabilities and incentives 2) Practical methods to support the identification, assessment and development of new business opportunities and business concepts are introduced 3) Theories and models are illustrated by numerous case examples.
