Abstract

Performance monitoring tools are becoming necessity for facility management as the profession is turning increasingly into the provider of performance to meet the user requirements. The paper is aimed at presenting the needs to monitor building performance and a description of tools for the purpose. The need arises mainly from the necessity to observe compliance, and the need to provide consistent performance to the clients of the spaces. The paper demonstrates the feasibility to deliver the necessary information to FM professionals for enabling the sustainable performance based contracting from construction to operation control. The developed system was tested to be able to deliver continuous performance information for multiple users with tailored content and display.
