Research output: Book/ReportReport

Abstract

A short review is presented on the current measurement and prediction methods for the noise emission of large industrial sources. Emphasis is given to the methods now in use in the Nordic countries and to the work going on in ISO. A revised version of the Nordic measurement method proposal is given in the Appendix. This method treats large industrial premises as a single noise source. The size, shape and directional characteristics of the source are not restricted. Measurement directions and distances may be chosen independently and an optional procedure for the acoustic centre is included.
