Abstract

A method and arrangement for controlling sampling of flue gases by means of which it is possible to control sampling of flue gases for C14 carbon dating. In the method a flue gas sample is taken from the dry flue gas of the combustion plant and it is used for determining the proportions of renewable and fossil fuels using dating based on isotope C14. At least the sampling frequency of the flue gases or the volume flow of the flue gas samples is changed on the basis of the power produced by the combustion plant.
