Method and arrangement for treating mixed plastic waste

According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method for processing of mixed plastic waste. The method comprising the steps of feeding a feed of the mixed plastic waste into a first extrusion step to obtain a plastic melt, subjecting the plastic melt into a melt filtration to obtain a filtrated plastic melt, subjecting the filtrated plastic melt into a first in-line measurement, feeding the filtrated melt into a second extrusion step together with an additional material feed to obtain an improved plastic melt, subjecting the improved plastic melt into a second in-line measurement and subjecting the improved plastic melt into a pyrolysis process, wherein an external automatic adjustment system is used to adjust the additional material feed based on said in-line measurements. Further, there is provided an arrangement configured to process mixed plastic waste according to such method.
