Abstract
The presentation contents included: SEEE project and Eco-Effi task descriptions in general, Life cycle assessment (LCA) in ship construction phase, LCA in ship operation phase and emission measurements. The preliminary results from the construction LCA were presented. Operational LCA consist of two steps which were described: In the 1st step, the environmental impact assessment will contain a basic estimation of air emissions, which can be calculated from the estimated fuel consumption of the compared propulsion alternatives. The main emphasis of the 2nd step calculations will be on the LCA of all different waste streams generated onboard.
