Abstract

Investigating user experience and emotions in user-product interaction is highly relevant. Especially mobile, context-sensitive and adaptive applications bring new challenges to user experience and emotion research. The use of the application may elicit many emotions during the use and thus emotions should be collected in near real-time synchronously to changes in the application. Moreover, the method itself should not affect to the user experience. To address these issues, we have developed an emotion and user experience collection method for mobile device use in the field test environment. The results indicate that this method is simple and easy to use in field tests.
