Abstract

Asia is fast becoming an economic zone with significant potential for resource exploitation, infrastructure development, and economic growth. Opportunities now exist for foreign businesses to operate in Asia. With more opportunities, an appropriate tool or mechanism is needed for exploring the effects of different government policies and their implications on entry/exit points for construction organizations to and from Asia. System dynamics is a heuristics-based modeling technique that may be used for patternistic visualization of prevailing situations and future scenarios subjected to different forms of constraints and discrepancies. Furthermore, behavioral patterns may be generated and associated patternistic trends used to identify strategies.
