    Abstract

Based on the structure of cytochrome c peroxidase a model of the lignin peroxidase LIII of the white-rot fungus Phlebia radiata was built using a knowledge-based approach. The methods used for finding tertiary structure similarities and their use in template alignment are presented. A procedure for building the lignin peroxidase model using knowledge of both homologous and non-homologous protein structures is also presented.
