    Abstract

NMR studies were performed for different 3-aminopropyltrimethoxy- (APTES) and 3 glycidyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (GPTS) systems. Stable imine and epoxy-amine products were obtained depending on a reaction system. All the imine formation reactions were carried out without the presence of a catalyst. Also effect of water for an epoxy ring opening process was demonstrated, as well as effect of solvents for the reaction pathway was confirmed.
