    Abstract

    VTT, together with Universities of Helsinki and Joensuu is developing starch based non-mineral paper pigments to replace mineral pigments. The emphasis of this paper is to introduce different methods to shape starch particles in order to maximise light scattering properties - opacity and brightness.
