    Abstract

The VTT Publication register has been OAI compatible since June 2003. In other words, harvesters, using the protocol created by Open Archives Initiative, have been able to gather metadata from our database into OAI combatible service providers, typically search services. Thus, our database is no longer hidden in the Deep Web. In this paper we shall explore the easy of implementation of the Open Archives Initiative Metadata Harvesting Protocol (OAI-PMH) and the effect it will have on knowledge sharing.
