    Abstract

In this paper, the on-body propagation performance measured totally wirelessly with 4-mm-thick and 50×50 mm size textile monopole antennas is presented. At a relatively low operating frequency 867 MHz, with small size, low gain textile antennas mean channel gain values from -47 to -56 dB including the antenna performances were recorded in various on-body propagation scenarios. The majority of the recorded links could be well described with the Nakagami distribution.
