On-line monitoring of crispbread moisture content by shor-wave near infrared spectroscopy

    Abstract

    An on-line moisture analyser for rye crispbread was implemented with a LED array and a fixed grating based spectrometer.The analyser uses the short wave near infrared (SWNIR) wavelength region (800 to 1100 nm), which enables the use of transmittance measurement.The analyser is calibrated with the partial least squares (PLS) calibration method, including compensation for sample temperature variation.
