Abstract
International Maritime Organisation (IMO) is currently
deciding on the new requirements for the control and
management of ship's ballast water and sediments.
Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT) together with
other European research organisations and industrial
partners have tested and developed onboard treatment
technologies in a research project "MARTOB".
