Abstract
After a 24 years' operation the main part of the fuel elements is still of the original Al-clad type. Only one fuel cladding failure has occurred so far, namely in 1981. A case of fission product leakage will be described, then the dry storage of a damaged fuel element and lastly the ring gauge testing of fuel elements which led this year to the finding of a clearly swollen element will be treated.
