Optimisation of load control: Final report of the project

    Abstract

    The results of the project "Optimisation of load control" are summarised. The application of optimisation methods to various tasks related to load control was studied. 1) minimisation of the power costs of space heating and ventilation counsumer with time variable prices ewas demonstrated. 2) A linear control response model was added in a power purchase optimisation model. 3) The response models of direct load control were updated and developed. The new models were fitted to fiedl test data using non-linear constrained optimisation. 4) Direct load control sequences were optimised. Also the effects of the electricity market deregulation on the need, benefits and organisation of load control are discussed.
