Abstract

The experimental details of the preparation of the title compound is described. The physical properties of (BEDO-TTF)2.4I3 are presented. The temperature dependence of the conductivity, the spin paramagnetism, the EPR linewidth and the thermoelectric power indicate that the iodide salt is a molecular metal with a 300-1.2K resistance ratio of 275 in the stacking axis direction, and devoid of perceptible phase transitions in the same temperature range.
