Parameter estimation of linear standby failure model

Abstract

The maximum likelihood estimation of the linear standby failure model is described and applied in a practical case. The estimation method is automatized and the computer code STAFME is shortly described. Some other estimation methods including bayesian approach and the least squares method are shortly considered.
