    Abstract

In this paper we describe agent-oriented concepts for the implementation of architectures for flexible manufacturing control. For such industrial applications of agent architectures we consider that robust and reliable information management as well as a seamless integration of agent applications into existing information infrastructures are both necessary requirements. We therefore integrate database management facilities directly into agent architectures. The availability of database features in agent architectures opens up possibilities for creating dynamically configurable control systems.
