Abstract

When a person is in a unidirectional airflow and the contaminant source is wihtin the wake region, high exposure can occur. This work studied the effect of local exhaust on the exposure both experimentally and numerically. With a local exhaust located between the worker and the contaminat source a good control was achieved. The CFD calculations corresponded to the experiments reasonably well.
