Abstract

Scenarios (user or usage stories) can be utilised in many ways throughout the product development process. Scenarios help various stakeholders, including potential users, to understand the imagined applications and services of new technologies and compose a common view for the development project. The purpose of the scenario evaluation and refinement with the potential users is to strengthen the user point of view in otherwise technology oriented projects. VTT has been involved in many international projects were in the early concept definition phase the focus has been in the generation, refinement, evaluation and analysis of the scenarios. In this paper our work related to the international scenario evaluations is presented and tools including recommendations are given based on our experiences.
