    Abstract

A polynomial image rectification method has been implemented to geocode airborne polymetric SAR data. The input image data are accepted both in Stokes and scattering matrix formats. Tests with two scenes show that the accuracy of the method is limited by the accuracy of ground control points used.

The effect of terrain slope on radar return has been studied. A strong dependence on terrain slope was found only in P-band co-polarized channels.
