Abstract
POLARTECH is a joint project of the Nordic Countries to organize a
series of international conferences in the field of marine transportation and
offshore operations.The topics of the first conference POLARTECH 86, centred
on oil and gas exploration, production and transportation on the sub-arctic
seas, and also contributions on the latest developments in the arctic and
high-arctic regions were included.Both technological and economic problems of
the field were presented and discussed.The Papers of POLARTECH 86 have been
published in three volumes.
