    Abstract

We have studied polymer based diodes from a materials and processing perspective. Polymer based diodes are mostly of a Schottky- type and hybrid devices using combinations of organic and inorganic materials have been the most promising. The performances of individual diodes using commercially available materials are characterized and the processing is developed towards a basic full-wave rectifier realized with polymer Schottky-diodes and discrete components. Printing of some parts of the circuit is evaluated.Operating efficiency versus frequency is measured and analyzed. The analysis on the high frequency operation is undertaken and the theory behind polymer materials high frequency operation is discussed.
