    Abstract

    This paper describes the preparation methods off VTT’s 1.1 MN force standard machine (FSM) before modernization of its control system. Working principle of the machine is introduced. A customized datalogger to investigate the FSM functionality and dynamic behavior is developed and described. The plan for the investigation of the 1 MN force standard machine’s control system is also introduced.
