Abstract
The choice of mineral paper pigment can have a dramatic
effect on the optical properties and printability of
gravure and rotogravure paper. At the VTT Technical
Research Centre, based in Espoo, Finland, a pilot scale
research service for rotogravure grades has been serving
pigment and paper producers for just over a year, with
the aim of finding solutions to improve the
competitiveness of the industry.
