Abstract
The objective of this research was to characterise the
deposit build-up and its effect on corrosion in
combustion of wood and waste water treatment sludges. The
results can be used in estimating and optimising the
factors that have effect on plant's availability.
Furthermore, we can estimate the effects caused by sludge
quality and by amount of different sludges in fuel blends
on high temperature corrosion. In general, the results
can be used in enhancing boiler availability and the use
of wood fuels with byproducts of paper industry. Results
will be valuable also when new super heater materials are
selected.
