Abstract

One of the tasks of the SHIPYARD 2000 RESISTANCE project was to give recommendations on how to convert the model resistance of large highspeed ships into ship resistance. The ship types of main interest were specified to have lengths greater than 100 metres and speeds of 35 <V< 50 knots. This speed range corresponds to the Froude number range of 0.575<F <0.821 for the length of 100 metres.
