    Abstract

PReVAL is a subproject of the PReVENT Integrated Project, in which different preventive safety applications have been developed and demonstrated. The PReVAL project has assessed the technical and human factors related evaluation results and assessed the potential safety impact of PReVENT functions. This presentation, which was presented in the special session "Accident Causation and Impact Assessment" on the 15th ITS World Congress in New York, gives an overview of the results, including the potential safety impact of selected PReVENT functions, and provides recommendation for further evaluation research.
