Abstract

RILEM - International Union of Laboratories for Testing and Research of Materials and Structures - sets up working groups for certain purposes. The publication is the final report of the RILEM Committee 31-PCM Performance Criteria for Building Materials and Components. The report starts with information on the background and the original programme of the committee. Reports of Task Groups are given on per-formance test methods, exposure conditions, roofing and actions for the benefit of developing countries. The report ends with a proposal concerning a methodology for performance evaluation. Performance analysis is used as the basis for problem defi-nition. Different ways for the evaluation procedure are presented and, inally, some words on expert judgment and decision making are given.
