abstract = "Classically, surveillance of hydrogen cracking reactors has been based solely on the Charpy-V impact test. This study introduces and verifies a new, risk informed, fracture mechanics based surveillance procedure for hydrotreating reactors and quantifies the present safety margins and life expectancy for the reactors included in the study. The results validate the new advanced surveillance procedure and verify the safety of the reactors at least until the year 2010.",
