The study examined the importance of medium-sized and mid-cap companies (EU company size classification) in the national economy, obstacles and drivers of growth, and the differences with respect to comparison countries. In particular, efforts have also been made to identify policy measures in comparison countries to improve the conditions for the growth of medium-sized enterprises. The comparison countries in the study were Denmark, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Sweden and Norway. The research has utilized a wide range of literature, statistics, register data, business data and data collection methods.
