Abstract
This paper reviews the state of play of material recycling and reuse in semiconductor fabrication companies. The work is based on companies’ sustainability reporting and interviews with environment technology providers. Although material recovery is not yet a central pillar of semiconductor sustainability strategies, it represents an opportunity to reduce environmental impacts, improve resource security, and enhance industrial resilience.
