Research output: Book/ReportReport

Abstract

In this project, financed by Nordtest, an attempt was made to elucidate those film characteristics which affect the radiographic image quality and which could be used as the basis of film classification. The literary survey, however, showed that it is apparently impossible to measure the most important film characteristics, i.e. graininess and granularity, in a reliable and simple way. In this report an existing classification method based on a visual comparison of film graininess is recommended.
