Abstract
The present invention relates to a method performed by an on-board unit (OBU) of an autonomous vehicle (AV) approaching a road intersection. The method comprises obtaining first traffic arrangement information based on information received from at least one color camera and/or at least one laser scanner carried by the AV, obtaining first position information, and generating and sending one or more first traffic information messages comprising the first traffic arrangement information and the first position information. The method comprises receiving one or more second traffic information messages originating from one or more other vehicles in vicinity or approaching the road intersection. Driving preference and priority in the road intersection with respect to the one or more other vehicles is calculated based at least on the obtained first traffic arrangement information, first position information and the one or more second traffic information messages.
