    Abstract

The research approaches the implementation process from two perspectives: software providers and SME end-users. In the implementation projects the goals, views, language and culture of the parties are often different, even conflicting. The paper describes results from analysis of the problems and the identification of development needs. As the approach of ASP (Application Software Provider) - services has been presented as a solution to facilitate the utilisation of IT solutions, it is assessed based on the findings in the analysis.
