N2 - An image solution was recently given for the electrostatic problem of a point charge located on the axis of revolution of a conducting prolate spheroid. The image theory is in this paper applied to the problem of two coaxial conducting prolate spheroids immersed in a homogeneous axial electric field. Integral equations are given for the image dipole moment density functions in each spheroid. A similar method based on integral equation for image charges is given for the calculation of capacitance
