Abstract
The first step in WP6 was to produce general plan of updating research infrastructure in Finland. The detailed plans of institutes have been built on that basis. This report makes the consolidation of detailed plans of Aalto University, AGCO Sisu Power Oy, Turku University of Applied Sciences, University of Vaasa and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. The stage of design, building, and commissioning of the new facilities has also been also described. The main themes of different institutes regarding to research infra structure update are the following. Aalto University: building a single cylinder, high speed fully optical engine, update of single cylinder medium speed EVE research engine for extreme value research, benchmarking of direct gas injection research engines. AGCO Sisu Power: laboratory extension with two AC dynamometers and equipment. Turku University of Applied Sciences: Update of current laboratory with new indicating system, FTIR device, and particle mass measurement devices. University of Vaasa: Update of current laboratory with new exhaust emission sampling system, and oxygen and hydrocarbon analysers. VTT: New medium speed diesel engine laboratory for studies of fuels, exhaust emissions, after treatment devices, waste heat recovery, new control and monitoring systems, and new generator and grid connection concepts.
