Abstract

This paper presents comparisons between 2D and 3D simulation results and measurement data of a lab-scale pseudo-2D bubbling fluidized bed. According to present study, there are clear differences between 2D and 3D simulation results, with the 3D results being much closer to the measured ones. In this paper also alternative parameters for wall friction model were tested.
