Abstract
This chapter presents a comprehensive methodology for designing a sustainable sixth-generation (6G) platform, emphasizing the shift from traditional connectivity to context-aware, adaptive system powered by artificial intelligence (AI), edge computing, and integrated sensing. The design process prioritizes environmental sustainability, digital inclusiveness, and trustworthiness, incorporating 10 key principles and a structured iterative approach to designing a 6G end-to-end (E2E) system blueprint. The chapter then explores the crucial role of intent-based management (IBM) in shaping 6G networks, emphasizing its evolution towards a more autonomous and context-aware system. The integration of advanced enablers necessitates rigorous security measures, including enhanced privacy controls, robust AI mechanisms, and security automation in edge computing environments.
