Abstract
The paper presents key results of a project that has
aimed to develop new models, solutions, and
performance indicators for new sustainable and
better-performing manufacturing and service
networks. The methods and tools developed can enable
firms to integrate sustainability into the
purpose of the firm and various business operations and
activities. The governance and business model innovation
and transformation for delivering sustainability can
assist firms to rethink their value proposition to
integrate environmental and social benefits in addition
to the economic objective. The life-cycle based
sustainable solution development framework ensures
efficient development processes that help create
sustainable solutions. The sustainability performance
assessment method guides in
planning, management and optimisation of business
transactions and decision-making processes within a
network.
