Abstract
Hologram based compact antenna test range (CATR) manufacturing can be facilitated and the relative quiet-zone size of the CATR can be increased by modifying the hologram illumination with a dual reflector feed. A simple ray tracing based synthesis technique for designing a dual shaped hyperbolic reflector feed system is described. Simulation results of a design example are presented to demonstrate the applicability of the design method for a dual reflector feed system for a submillimeter wave frequency hologram CATR.
